In a lot of ways, I’m still essentially a child. And when I do that math, I’m not even counting my Chewbacca doll that sits between DVD copies of a Roger Corman flick and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation.
There I things that when I see them, I still think, “Gosh, that’s really wizard!”
(I don’t actually say “wizard,” but I want to make that a regular thing. Take note.)
Example: When I heard that Stieg Larsson was just a huge coffee dude, I kinda thought, “Yeah, that’s badass. That’s what writers do.”
Which seems so cheap and simplistic to me right now. Like something I might do if I were a kid, playing writer.
